Christina Cox will have worked in the O&P Industry for over 16 years and will celebrate her 7th work anniversary with SPS in February. Christina is part of our North + East Sales Manager Team and her area of service is Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky. She has been a prime resource for our customers as they adjust to the new regulations and policy.
We got to know her a little better when she answered the questions below:
What do you love about your job?
I love being a resource for our customers and working closely with them to achieve their goals by utilizing everything SPS offers.
How have you grown since starting at the company?
I was a manufacturer before going into distribution and the key component I have learned about sales is to utilize everyone I have the opportunity to work with. In my position, I work daily with clinicians, the accounting department, shipping, CFO, marketing and beyond. I want to make sure I am learning from them as much as they are learning from me.
How have you supported a customer with understanding policies, in the O&P Industry?
As someone who has been in this business for 16 years, I have seen firsthand how to work through adaption and adjustments positively. I have seen how a company can become paralyzed by not following policy and I have found it is best to encourage clinicians and business owners to stay up to date on resources.
Why do you believe it is essential for clinicians to understand policy regulations?
Since clinicians interact with patients and are the key record keepers, they must be aware of all the regulation changes so that their business can thrive. The ramifications can negatively affect their business significantly down the road.
How can customers receive assistance about understanding policy?
They can always ask their sales representative or our clinician team. We have an excellent clinical team Sam Brouillette CP, CFo and Elizabeth Hillen M.Ed., CPO, LPO who have years of experience and are always on top of the changing regulations.
