The Clinical Minute features short overviews of orthotic and prosthetic devices. In this episode, Clinical Consultant Liz Hillen, M.Ed., CPO, LPO, explains the unique features of WillowWood’s Koa LP foot.
Overview
At 6.6 centimeters, the Koa LP boasts one of the lowest build heights among fiberglass feet. The Koa LP’s multiaxial split keel design allows the patient to invert and evert on various terrains, and provides more stability to patients with ambulation. Constructed from fiberglass, The Koa LP is suitable for moderate to high activity transtibial and transfemoral patients up to 365 pounds. The foot is also waterproof and comes in sizes 23 to 28 centimeters.
